The administrative documents cover many aspects of the Literary Fund’s operations, including its official status, the club which operated concurrently in its early years, its officers, its headquarters, its possessions, its addresses to royalty, its collaborations with government and other organisations for the benefit of authors, its financial affairs, the reports of its officers, the official records of its activities and the challenges to its constitution.
A full list of the different boxes is given below. Further details of the contents of each box can be found in the file-level records. The groupings of documents within the boxes were kept as they were found when the materials were catalogued in 2012-2013, with the exception of the last box, which collects miscellaneous loose documents. The physical boxes housing the last seven groups of documents were replaced due to their condition.
