Contains a large number of letters accepting and declining invitations to the Royal Literary Fund’s 1935 Anniversary Dinner, which was chaired by Queen Marie of Roumania. These letters are generally short yes or no responses. Also contains some similarly brief letters dealing with subscriptions and payments. A full record of those who attended the dinner can be found in the Annual Report for that year, which can be found in Royal Literary Fund Annual Reports Vol. XXIII (Loan 96 RLF 3/23). Other documents relating to the dinner can be found in Loan 96 RLF 4/29.
