• [1909]: signed autograph programme note (fragment) for Phantasie Trio in A minor (first performance 1909).
• ‘Personal Anecdotes’ (signed typescript, not dated): two numbered paragraphs about applying unsuccessfully for a position as a church organist and working as an accompanist at smoking concerts. Published in The John Ireland Companion (2011), p. 394.
• ‘Ravel at a Party’ (signed typescript, not dated). Published in Companion, p. 407.
• ‘Elgar’ (autograph and signed typescript, not dated). Published in Companion, p. 402.
• ‘Concerto in E flat. Ireland.’ Autograph. Published in Companion, p. 420, which includes two mis-transcriptions: in the final sentence of the first paragraph, Ireland has written ‘interdependent’ and not, as printed, ‘not dependent’; secondly, in the final paragraph, discussing the entry of the timpani, Ireland has written ‘the solemn closing bars’ and not, as printed, ‘the soloist’s closing bars’.
• The poem ‘Sea Fever’ by John Masefield written in Ireland’s hand, and signed by Ireland (not dated).
• ‘Memorable First Nights’ (carbon typescript, with corrections by hand). Talk by Ireland broadcast 23 August 1942. Published in Companion, pp. 409-12.
• Transcription (typescript) of radio talk by Ireland introduced by Julian Herbage, broadcast 16 December 1945. Published as ‘My Introduction to Beethoven’ in Companion, pp. 396-9.
• ‘Sir Walter Alcock’ [c. 1948], Typescript, published in Companion, pp. 404-7.
• ‘Stanford’ [1949]. Signed typescript, published in Companion, pp. 399-401.
• ‘Sonata No. 2 in A minor for Violin and Piano’ (1950). Typescript, published in Companion, pp. 418-9.
• Transcriptions of broadcast interview (1954) with Harold Rutland, made shortly before Ireland’s 75th birthday. The transcriptions are: by hand (not Ireland’s) referring to Ireland’s birthday ‘in a few months time’; as carbon typescript, also referring to Ireland’s birthday ‘in a few months time’; a transcription fragment, with amendments by hand (carbon typescript, sheets numbered 2, 3 and 3A); and as a version in typescript, heavily amended by hand, prepared for the Australian Broadcasting Commission, referring to Ireland’s birthday being ‘a short time ago’.
