- This is a large green book with News Cuttings embossed on front and spine. In it are cuttings of articles, reviews and stories written by Candler and reviews of his books "The Paraphrase of Poetry" (1905), "The Mantle of the East" (1910), "The General Plan" (1911) and "Abdication" (1922). Besides cuttings there are typed copies of "Mixed Bridge" and "Another Way of Romance", and typed and printed copies of poems. The book contains a letter sent to Candler by his pupils on leaving Rajah's College, Parlakimedi, India and references from James May, Agent to the Raja of Parlakimedi, and J. Adam, Fellow and Senior Tutor of Emmanuel College, Cambridge. On page 89 is a picture of Candler. The articles include ones commenting on the political situation in India. Inserted into the book is a loose cutting of a poem from Punch (1925) as a repsonse to the publication of "The Dinosaur's Egg"; an obituary for Candler from the John O'London Weekly; handwritten lists of "Magazine articles and stories afterwards published in books" and "List of Books"; and some notes added at a later date (not by Candler) regarding contents of the book. The cuttings are not ordered by date but the index at the front is of some help.
