- Ledger. Cover - leather on board, separated, badly damaged. Spine - lost. Binding destroyed; some pages remain in small groups, reatined by the original string; many others are completely disbound and exist as individual sheets. All are damaged to some extent, being stained, with tattered page-edges, and extremely fragile; many pages are torn; insect damage occurs throughout the volume. The box containing the document includes many small fragments of pages, whose palce within the volume cannot now be established.
