Inscription: Signed and numbered Bourne 1715 in negative.
Section 1 of Bourne's seven-part panorama of Calcutta from the Ochterlony Monument. The view looks south-west across the Maidan towards Fort William and the River Hugli beyond. The complete panorama comprises prints 18-24. Prints 18-24 have been removed from this album and are stored, framed as a single panorama, in the British Library Art Store.
