View in Barrackpore Park—Lake scene. Photographer: Bourne, Samuel
- Scope & Content:
-
Inscription: Signed and numbered Bourne 1747 in the negative.
View looking along the pathway running along the shore of the lake in Barrackpore Park, towards a banyan tree in the distance. The European lady posed in the middleground gazing across the lake, also appears in prints 51 and 53 and it has sometimes been suggested (from what evidence is unclear) that she is Bourne's wife.
