View from the south-west corner of the upper Bala Hissar, looking north-east down onto the large walled charbagh garden of the Diwan-i-Am (audience hall), with Shah Shuja's Palace behind in the left background. These palace buildings are seen more closely in print 10. The buildings on the far right of the photograph are Amir Yakub Khan's palace, with Siah Sang hill rising beyond on the far side of the valley.
