Inscribed: ‘Divan Mul Raj King Multan. Shair Sing belongs Atari.’
Note: Mulraj became Governor of Multan, September 1844. The murder of two British officers there in April 1848 precipitated the second Sikh War. Captured by the British, January 1849, died c.1850. Sher Singh Atariwala, son of Chattar Singh Atariwala, sided at first with the British against Mulraj, but later joined his father in the second Sikh War. Surrendered after the battle of Gujarat 1849, exiled from Punjab.
