Inscribed: ‘Raja Teja Sing Lahore. Raja Dini Nath Daftari of Maharaj.’
Note: Tej Singh, nephew of Jamadar Khushal Singh, became Commander-in-Chief of the Sikh army 1845. Member of Regency Council of Maharaja Dalip Singh, December 1846. Dina Nath joined Ranjit Singh’s state office 1818. Became head of civil and finance office 1834, Diwan 1838, remained finance minister under Maharajas Kharak, Nau Nihal, Sher and Dalip Singh. Member of Regency Council 1846; collaborated with British after the second Sikh War 1849; died 1857.
