Inscribed in ink opposite: ‘No. 1 is a member of the banker of rather money lending class and his wife. From his mark - a vermilion oblong on a white ground - he is a follower of Vallabhacharya ... Lower figures. Barber and his wife. The barber belongs to the lower caste. Many of them add to their trade income by officiating as musicians in the temple bands where they beat the drum or play the flute...’
