Stereoscopic view looking along the bed of the river towards the stone bridge, with descriptive text, pp. 103-104: 'It will be seen here that Mr. Fenton has fixed his camera on the shallow side of the stream, for the sake of getting the central pier of the bridge reflected in the glassy pools in the foreground, whilst the opposite bank merges into distance beneath the arches. When the two pictures are seen in the stereoscope in combination, the reflection of the landscape on the surface of the pools, showing here and there among the rubble, is very effective.' Published in part no. 26, August 1860.
