Mounted as the frontispiece to Plücker's manual on his portable stereoscopic camera. The photograph is included to illustratethe use of the camera to take single, non-stereoscopic pictures. This view, presumably taken by Plücker, looks across the harbour at Antwerp, towards a steam yacht moored at a wharf on the far side. On the skyline beyond is the spire of Antwerp Cathedral.
