2. Correspondence between John Ireland and Silvio Ireland (nephew, son of Ethel Ireland, and resident in San Francisco) (ff. 102-139). Born as Silvio Velleman, he took his mother's maiden name of Ireland upon her divorce. At the time of his correspondence with his uncle, John Ireland, he was known in San Francisco as 'Henri Lenoir' (for some American biographical material about Lenoir collected by the John Ireland Trust, see MS Mus. 1749/5).
