several letters from J W Wilkins, 1858-1859, on pamphlets, articles regarding Lord Canning's memorandum, and a proposed newspaper, discussing the expense of printing and circulating it;

a certified testimonial of Madame Cleber de Maldigny as governess by Marie Oustinoff, whose signature is certified by the Russian embassy in Paris;

and letter from Harriet de Burgh, with passages from Charles Canning's books of 1858 transcribed, suggesting altered papers were put before the House of Lords with an unmarked omission and 'inexcusable interpolation', annotated by Clanricarde that these should be forwarded to Kaye.

Also includes letter regarding Irish affairs in 1858 from the Bishop of Killaloe, and correspondence regarding removal of Alexander Dickson from the magistracy in Galway in 1873. Other letters of 1872-1873 regarding affairs of Galway and Portumna include: letters relating to appointments and patronage, including a letter from Robert Eyre, Portumna, enclosing printed testimonial of his son Robert Smith Eyre for appointment to Peninsular and Oriental ship; letters from Major Daly regarding Galway militia; and memorial of Henrietta Mary Power for financial assistance, August 1873, certified by the Dean of Tuam.
