Contains the following documents relating to the case of Handcock versus Delacour in the Irish Court of Chancery: printed copy of the affivdavit filed by Clanricarde in the Court of Chancery in Ireland, March 1855; draft letter of 13 February 1855 to the Irish Lord Chancellor from Clanricarde proposing an enquiry into his [Clanricarde’s] conduct, since he has not been able to vindicate his name, the case having been settled out of court, in light of the public posititions he holds in Ireland; letters from Dunkellin and Charles Canning of February 1855 voicing their concerns and opinion on what Clanricarde’s next steps should be; and printed correspondence with Lord Chancellor of Ireland, March 1855.
