1. Letter from Charles Canning to 'Darling Char', 26 Sep [1857], referring to the lifting of the Siege of Delhi. Canning sends his congratulations to Sir Colin Campbell.
2. Letter from Charles Canning to ‘Darling Char’, Calcutta, 19 Jun 1860, sent to Lady Canning while she was on her tour of the Himalayas. The letter originally formed part of Charles Canning's personal papers.
Charlotte Canning’s letters to Charles Canning, 1858-61, have been transferred to Charles Canning’s personal papers series (Mss Eur F699/1/1/4). An additional undated letter from Charles Canning can be found bound within her letter to him dated 18 Feb 1858.
