630. Memorandum by Major Bowie of his conversation with Maharajah Duleep Singh, 10 Apr 1861. The Maharani Jhunda appeared in European dress and told Bowie that there was no doubt of the Nana's death, he having died of dysentery in the Terai. Jung Bahadoor intended to go to England in 3 years, and live there with his family. The Maharajah asked for an increased allowance for his mother. In envelope.
