Register recording dispatches received by George Canning from His Majesty’s Consul General at Rio de Janeiro, Henry Chamberlain, 17 December to 31 December 1823 (received 11 March 1824), numbers 152 to 165, pp. 2-12. The register entries record the numbers of the dispatches, the dates sent and received, and summaries of the dispatches. Also includes Memorandum of Lord Amhurst’s Conference with Mr de Andrada on the subject of the slave trade on 16 May 1823, pp. 13-25.
