Work-book 24: Dated 15 December 1983 - 3 May 1984.
- ff.ii-30: Sketches for 'Naaotwa Lalá' (op. 39); and a sketch for mezzo-soprano and guitar titled 'Canzoni a ballo' (ff.27v-30).
- ff.30v-57: Sketches for Symphony for small orchestra (op. 37).
- ff.58v-63: Sketches for incidental music for Thames TV documentary series 'Crime Inc.'.
- ff.64-80: Sketches and draft score of music for 'Le Nozze di Cherubino' (op. 38).
Work-book 24a: Undated, but supposed to pre-date work-book 25 (see MS Mus. 1808/4). Typescript fair draft of the libretto of 'Le Nozze di Cherubino' (op. 38), on coloured paper and pasted into work-book. Towards end of volume is an index of rhymes used in writing the libretto, and inside back board is a sketched and painted stage plan with scenery. Opening four pages, between title page and beginning of libretto on f.89v, had been taped closed - these are now open.
Work-book 25: Dated 3 May 1984 - 10 May 1984. Draft score of Prologue and Act I, scenes 1-6 of 'Le Nozze di Cherubino' (op. 38).
Work-book 26: Dated 10 May 1984 - 17 May 1984. Draft score of Act I, scenes 7-12 of 'Le Nozze di Cherubino' (op. 38).
