• ff.31v-75: Sketches and sections of draft score for 'Stations of the Cross, Book I' (op. 96) and 'Stations of the Cross, Book II' (op. 100). Also contains noted ideas for a symphony titled 'The dogs of war' (ff.36v-38).
• ff.75v-78v: Ideas for an expansion of 'Stabat mater' (op. 95), which later became 'Dolorosa' (op. 131). Also contains a crossed-out setting of Wendy Cope's 'Lonely Hearts'.
