1. Trio (op. 10) for flute, oboe and piano
- ff.1-26: Score in copyist's hand, Indian ink on transparencies. Dated April 1972 in composer's hand after final bar line.
- ff.27-177: Printed copy of score (ff. 1-26) with extensive annotations in composer's hand and manuscript replacement of first page. Ink and pencil on paper, with pasted corrections.
- ff.178-193: Published Novello score (1982) with some pencilled performance markings.
- ff.194: Typeset oboe cadenza linking movements 4 and 5. Autograph note (signed and dated 2012) explains that the cadenza was not in the original published score but added in 2007.
2. 'Canto for Guitar' (op. 11)
- ff.195-199: Early sketches, pencil on paper.
- ff.200-229: Autograph score. Indian ink on paper, with some pasted corrections. Score shows working title 'Canto I (Mr Timothy's Troubles) for Guitar'. Dated August 1972 after final bar line.
- ff.230-236: Printed copy of autograph score with corrections and annotations in coloured pencil.
3. 'Canto for Piano' (op. 12)
- ff.237-242: Sketches, with the working title 'Canto II, for piano: Mrs Brett's Boogy'. Pencil and ink on paper.
- ff.243-272: Autograph fair score, Indian ink on transparencies. Completed November 1973 and revised August 1975 (dated after final bar line).
4. 'Canto for Violin' (op. 13)
- ff.273-279: Autograph working draft score. Pencil on paper. Dated 16 December 1973 on final page.
- ff.280-297: Autograph fair score, Indian ink on transparencies. Signed and dated December 1973 on final page.
- ff.298-303: Print of autograph fair score with the original working title 'Canto IV: Master Christopher's Carol'. Contains some pencil annotations.
- ff.304-308: Print of autograph fair score, with corrections and annotations throughout in red ink. Printed title 'Master Christopher's Carol' is crossed out and 'Canto IV' written above.
