a) 'A View of part of the West side of Georges Island taken from the Ship at Anchor in Royal Bay', by Charles Praval, after Sydney Parkinson. Drawing frame: 170 x 595 mm. Attributed by R A Skelton, Beaglehole and others to James Cook. Attributed by Andrew David to Charles Praval (after Parkinson).
b) 'The West elevation of the Fort', by Charles Praval, after Herman Diedrich Spöring. Drawing frame: 185 x 600 mm. Title inscribed in ink below drawing within ink-lined border: ‘THE WEST ELEVATION of the FORT’. Linear scale below title: ‘A Scale of Feet’. References inscribed in ink within the border: ‘a. Mr Banks’s Tents b. The Observatory c. Officers Tent d. Mens Tent and Guardroom e. Cook-room and Smith Forge f. Coopers and Sailmakers Tent’.
c) 'A Plan of Royal or Matavie Bay in Georges Island', by James Cook, surveyor, and Isaac Smith, draughtsman. Scale: 1:14,592. Chart frame: 270 x 283 mm. Title inscribed in ink within outer frame, below drawing. Linear scale below title: ‘A Scale of One Mile’ (5 inches = 1 mile). An unfinished version of this map is in British Library Add MS 31360, f. 39.
d) Fort Venus, Tahiti, by James Cook, surveyor, and Isaac Smith, draughtsman. Chart frame: 270 x 325 mm. Title inscribed in ink below drawing within ink-lined border: ‘A PLAN of FORT VENUS in ROYAL BAY’. Linear scale below title: ‘A Scale of Feet’ (3¾ inches = 100 feet). References inscribed in ink within the border: ‘a. Mr Banks’s Tents b. The Observatory c. The Clock d. Officers Tent e. Mens Tent and Guardroom f. Magazine g. Oven and Cook-room h. Smiths I Necessary House k. Carriage Guns l. Swivels m. Coopers and Sailmakers Tent’. Probably copied from a lost original by Spöring.
