Correspondence from Penelope Fitzgerald's various publishers; the contents have been arranged alphabetically, by publisher name. Letters from imprints are grouped under their own names rather than those of the parent publishing houses. The contract for The Knox Brothers (Collins) has been placed at the bottom of the folder for preservation reasons and so appears out of sequence. One set of letters, regarding The Bookshop, has been left as it was grouped by Fitzgerald, under 'Duckworth/The Bookshop' and contains letters from various publishers. There is also some proof material (preliminaries and end matter, front cover, plates) with the Sutton Publishing letters, for Edward Burne-Jones.
