Diary of field notes relating to war work kept by Colonel Edward Raban.
The diary focuses on Colonel Raban's work in establishing South London Defensive Positions, in particular the Reigate to Caterham position. The diary records frequent visits to farms and other locations in Merstham, Redhill, Reigate, Caterham and Woldingham.
Also recorded is work and visits to defensive positions in Brasted and Wrotham, and lectures given to various groups on field defences and explosives.
