1916 diary kept by Colonel Edward Raban with brief entries for each day. The entries focus primarily on his war work establishing defensive positions in South London and his lectures on wartime defences to various voluntary groups.
Also recorded in the diary are his social engagements with his family, various visitors and the whereabouts of his daughters Maud and Mabel when visiting friends and family elsewhere in England.
