Field notes diary kept by Colonel Sir Edward Raban May 1916 to June 1917 recording his work establishing and inspecting anti-aircraft defences and positions throughout England and Scotland. Other matters recorded in the diary include work to prevent potential naval attacks along the South Coast of England, and his work and involvement with the Royal Engineers.
The diary ends on 23rd June 1917 with Colonel Raban commencing a new appointment at the War Office.
