Extracts from the Speedy Cure and Guaranteed Remedy (الشفاء العاجل والدواء الكافل) by the Ottoman litterateur, poet and physician of Mosul Muḥammad Amīn Bek ibn Ibrāhīm Bek ibn Yūnus Afandī ibn Yāsīn Afandī al-Muftī ibn Maḥmūd Afandī (محمد أمين بك بن إبراهيم بك بن يونس أفندي بن ياسين أفندي المفتي بن محمود أفندي, d. ca 1812, see Raʾūf, 'al-Adīb al-ṭabīb Muḥammad Amīn Bek Āl Yāsīn al-Muftī al-Mawṣilī' [2016]), known as Amīn Bek Yāsīn Afandīzādah (أمين بك ياسين أفندي زاده, see. f. 165v, line 2). Further extracts from this text copied by the same hand are found on ff. 1v-2r, in the margins of 3v-90v and 165v-171r.
One extract (ff. 143v, line 25-144r, line 4) is from a work by Ṣāliḥ ibn Naṣr Allāh ibn Sallūm al-Ḥalabī (صالح بن نصر الله بن سلوم الحلبي, d. 1669), personal physician to the Ottoman sultan Mehmet IV (محمد رابع, reg. 1648-87).
