A short inventory of sciences by Zakarīyā ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī (زكريا ابن محمد الأنصاري c. 1423-c. 1520) encompassing subjects found in the second and main text of the present manuscript, Fatḥ al-ḥayy al-qayyūm sharḥ rawḍat al-fuhūm (فتح الحيّ القيوم شرح روضة الفهوم; Or 9868 ff. 3v-393v), as well as other branches of learning including veterinary science, moral law and agriculture.
The text lacks a colophon but was apparently added to the opening flyleaves of the present manuscript by an individual who also left marginal notes on the latter.
Begins (f. 1v, line 1-2):
الحمد لله الذي شرف من وقفه بالعلم والعمل وزينه بالهداية المقدرة في الأزل
والصلاة والسلام على أشرف من خلقه الله عز وجل وعلى آله وصحبه المنزهين عن السفاهة والزلل
Ends (f. 3r, lines 2-3):
