The manuscript is composed of a part of a text containing 52 palm leaves numbered from 104 to 156. The leaves are extremely darkened by infestation of fungus.
The text describes formulation of the following medicines: Miḷaku tailam and Koṭuvēli tailam; Nīlakaṇṭa vālai pataṅkam, and Apraka paṟpam.
It informs on the appropriate medicines for treating diseases:
A decoction for reducing fever (curam);
Medicated oils (tailam) for treating diseases caused by pitta imbalance, haemorrhoids (mūlam), and a disease, patakari, not identified;
Medicated ghī for reducing diarrhea (pēti) and urinary tract infection (vaṟaṭcai mēkam);
An electuary for reducing diabetes Mellitus (nīriḻuvu);
Pills for treating all types of poisons (carva viṣam) and for stopping diarrhoea (pēti);
Ointment (kaḷimpu) and plaster for wounds (puṇ) as well as a calcinated medicine (paṟpam) for treating wounds linked with sinusitis (puṇ purai);
and medicines whose the category is not specified for treating eye diseases (kaṇ paṭalam), colic pain (cūlai), pimples (paru), dysentery (kaḻiccal), scabies (ciraṅku), a vāta disease (kōrai vātam), intestinal tuberculosis (uḷaimāntai) and dysmenorrhoea (cūtaka vāyu); for improving potency (tātu puṣṭiku maruntu) and woman fertility (kaṟppam uṇṭāka) and for relieving constipation (malam veliyēra).
Size of the manuscript 20,0cm x 2,8cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered in Tamil and Arabic from 104 to 156; the leaf 142 is missing. The palm leaves are extremely dark due to fungus infestation. The 3st leaves are bitten by rodents.
