The manuscript is composed of a text whose the palm leaves are numbered from 33 to 272. The manuscript is in excellent condition.
The text concerns formulations of medicines:
Dried plant powder: Tiripalāti cūraṇam, Tāḷicāti curaṇam and Pāvu curaṇam;
Medicated oils: Mukavāta caṉṉi tailam and Vāta kōṭāli tailam; Elāti eṇṇey, Cantaṉāti eṇṇey, Ciṟṟāmuṭṭi eṇṇey and Pitta caṉṉi eṇṇey;
Medicated ghī: Iñci ney, Tāmarai ney, Rāmapāṇa ney, Cañcīvi ney, Pūcaṇi ney, Cīntil ney, Kūviḷa ney and Tāmarai ney;
Electaries: Taṅka vilvāti lēkiyam;
Wax-like medicine: Kummaṭṭi kuḻampu;
Pills: Raca pūpati kuḷikai, Rāmapāṇa kuḷikai, Kōṭācuṭi kuḷikai, Ātiyaṉanta vairava kuḷikai and Liṅka raca kuḷikai;
Calcinated alcalin medicinal powder: Tāmira paṟpam and Vaṅka paṟpam;
Calcinated red medicinal powder: Navalōka centūram, Pūraṇa cantirōtayam centūram and Tirilōka cintāmaṇi centūram.
The text informs on the medicines recommended to treat diseases, whose: curaṇam (dried plant powder) for treating common cold (mūkku nīrpāyccal) scrotal swelling (aṇṭavāta) and hemorrhoids (mūlam; based on yam, karuṇai); tailam (medicated oil) for treating bronchial asthma (cuvāca kāca) and delirium (caṉṉi); eṇṇey (medicated oil) for treating jaundice (kāmālai) and purpura (ratta pittam); ney (medicated ghī) for treating vata pitta diseases; pills (kuḷikai) for treating hemolytic jaundice (ceṅkāmāri) and delirium (caṉṉi), fever (curam); maruntu (medicine; category not specified) for treating fevers (vāta curam, cileṟpaṉa curam, ati curam), gastritis troubles (catti kuṉmam, pitta kuṉmam, vāta kuṉmam), intestinal disorders (āmai cūlai, kuṇṭala vāyu, kuṭal vātam), intestinal tuberculosis (uḷai māntāi), dysentery (vāta kirāṇi, cileṟpaṉa kirāṇi, vayiṟu kaṭuppu), abdominal distention (kuvaḷai vāyu), spleen disease (pīlikai vāyu), colic pain during pregnancy (kaṟppa cūlai), urinary tract infections (vāta mēka, pitta mēka, cileṟpaṉa mēka), eczema (timirvāta karappāṉ, kaṇṭa karappāṉ, kapāla karappāṉ, vaṟaṭcai karappāṉ, toppul karappāṉ), swelling in cheek (kaṉṉa vīkkam), tumour (vaṟaṭci kiranti, kapāla vippuruti), enlargement of lymph node in neck and inguinal region (kaṇṭamālai, araiyāppu), delirium (manta caṉṉi, makā caṉṉi) and insanity (kirikai); types of medicine (kuḻampu, aṭai, kāram) for treating hemorrhoids (mūlam); and pukai (medicated fumes) for treating delirium (caṉṉi).
Size of the manuscript 19,0cm x 3,6cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 33 to 272 in Tamil and Arabic. The manuscript is in excellent condition; the leaf 97 est broken.
