The manuscript is composed of a text containing palm leaves numbered from 1 to 84. The text is incomplete. The manuscript is in good condition, but it is very dark due to fungus infestation.
The text, written in both verses and prose, describes formulation of medicines:
Decoctions: Vāta kaṣāyam, a kaṣāyam and a kavaḷam (decoction taken in small quantity for gargling) for treating tuberculosis (cayam), as well as a decoction (Tārai kaṣāyam) for treating eye diseases (kaṇ viyātikaḷ).
Medicated oils: Pīṉica tailam, Cūl tailam, Vāta tailam, Ciraṅku tailam, Kuṟuntoṭṭi tailam, Koṭuvēli tailam, Icaṅku tailam, Koṭuvēli tailam and Tirumēṉi tailam; Muṟiveṇṇey; as well as formulations of tailam for treating enlargement of lymph nodes in neck region (kaṇṭamālai), pitta imbalance, anemia due to derangement of pitta (pitta cōkai), fungal infection (paṭar tāmarai), eczema (karappāṉ), delirium (caṉṉi), vāta disease (vātam), muscular atrophy caused by rickets (kaṇai).
Dried plant powders: Aṭṭa cūraṇam, Vilvāti cūraṇam, Pirammi cūraṇam, Aṉṉapēti cūraṇam and Tiripalāti cūraṇam, as well as a cūraṇam for vāta disease (vāyu kaṭuppu).
Medicated ghī: Kukkil kiṟutam, as well as formulations of ghī (ney) for treating vāta disease (uḷḷaṭi vātam), pain (kaṭuppu, cūlai) and scabies due to pitta imbalance (pitta ciraṅku).
Electaries: Tāḷicapattiri lēkiyam
Pills: Veṭṭumārpaṉ māttirai, as well as pills (uṇṭai) for treating tumour-related wound (kiranti puṇ)
Wax-like medicine: Vāyvu kuḻampu and Akattiyar kuḻampu.
Combination of medicines: Vāta mukkūṭṭu.
Medicinal formulations (maruntu) for treating oral ulcer (tāmarai muḷ), oliguria (nīraṭaippu), anemia (cōkai), menorrahagia (perumpāṭu) and flatulence (āṉanta vāyu) and removing insects in ears (kātil vaṇṭu eṟināl).
Medicated pouch (kiḻi) for treating vāta diseases
Medicated fumes (pukai) for treating hemorrhoids (mūlam taḷḷal) and head ache (talaivali)
Dried plant powder (poṭi) for application on wounds (puṇ).
Size of the manuscript 21,2cm x 3,0cm. The palm leaves are numbered from 1 to 68 in Tamil and Arabic and from 69 to 84 in Arabic. There are two leaves numbered 11, 12, 13; and there are four blank leaves. The palm leaves are extremely darkened by high fungus infestation, but the reading is not affected.
