The manuscript is made of a text formed by palm leaves numbered from 1 to 30; the leaves 6-8, 15, 22 and 26 are missing. The condition of the manuscript is average. Due to high infestation of fungus and mould, all the leaves are dark and several of them are broken and partly damaged. Due to the specific quality of palm leaves which are formed of two parts of leaves attached to a rigid nervure and fold up, they are twisted. Size of the manuscript 40,0cm x 2,6cm. The palm leaves of the text are numbered from 1 to 30 in Tamil and Arab, the leaves 6 to 8, 15, 22 and 26 are missing. The manuscript is in average state. Having been highly infested by fungus and mould, all the leaves are dark and several of them are broken and partly damaged. They are twisted due to the specific quality of palm leaves which are formed of two parts of leaves attached to the midrib.
The text, entitled Pūraṇa Cantrōtaya Vālai, and attributed to Akattiyar, approaches several subjects related to siddha tradition.
It describes the formulations of Karuṅkōḻi cūraṇam, Cukku poti, Turucu cuṇṇam, Vīra cuṇṇam and Racamaṇi.
It exposes the practice of meditation (paṭcaṇi) notably to increase the longevity of life (yōka kaṟpam).
It approaches magic for which it mentions a black paste (añcaṉam) used to mesmerise (vaciyam) people.
It provides some information on procreation by mentioning the hen's eggs (mañcaḷ muṭṭai) and ovum (karu muṭṭai, kaṟutta aṇṭam).
Additionally, the text explains the structure of the society based on birth (cātikaḷiṉ pirivu) for which it describes the four brahmanical categories (Sanskrit: varṇa).
