The manuscript is composed of two texts, both incomplete. They are written in verses. The manuscript, damaged by fungus and mould, is in extremely bad condition. Size of the manuscript 34,3cm x 3,9cm. The palm leaves of the text 1 are numbered 1 and 2, and of the text 2 from 1 to 40 in Tamil and Arab with 7 additional leavees without a number. The manuscript, damaged by larvae, fungus and mould, is in extremely bad condition.
Text 1: The text, made of two palm leaves, presents the preparation of three pills: Vāta rāṭcacaṉ māttirai, Parākkira pūpati kuḷikai and Caṉṉi vātāṭi kuḷikai.
Text 2- The text, entitled Karma Cūttiram, is formed of palm leaves numbered from 1 to 40 and seven leaves without numbering. It describes diseases considered resulting from bad deeds in the past (karma), indicates those which are curable, and provides medicinal formulations to treat them, as well as ways to improve the karma (karma parikāra nivartti). The text lists the diseases which are curable by medicines (tīrum nōykaḷ).
The text describes eight types of tuberculosis (cayam), leprosy (kuṟai nōy), diseases caused by pitta imbalance (pittam), among them insanity (pitta kirikai), tooth diseases (tanta rōkam), carbuncle (piḷavai) and enlargement of lymph node in neck region (kaṇṭamālai). It explains the aetiology of some diseases such as anemia (pāṇṭu), dysentery (kirāṇi) and convulsive disease (vali).
The medicinal formulations which are provided concern:
Medicated oils: Mēka rācāṅka tailam and Vaḻiya rācāṅka tailam, as well as oils (tailam) for application on head (talai), treating diseases such as insanity (kiriyam), sinusitis (pīnicam) and ear diseases (cevi nōy).
Electuaries: Kāntāti lēkiyam and an electuary for treating gastritis (kuṉmam).
Pills: Mataṉa kāma kēcari kuḷikai.
Calcined white medicine prepared from metals and minerals: Tāḷaka paṟpam, Raca paṟpam, Irumpu paṟpam, Veḷḷi paṟpam and Cempu paṟpam; Turucu nīṟṟu; Pūnīṟu cuṇṇam.
Calcined red medicine prepared from metals and minerals: Apiraka centūram, Lōka centūram, Kānta centūram, Pañca lōka centūram, Ātitya navalōka centūram and Vaṅka centūram, as well as a centūram for treating dysentery (kirāṇi).
Medicines obtained by sublimation: Rācāṅka pataṅkam.
Stone-like medicines: Karuvaṅka kaṭṭu.
Medicines (maruntu) to improve potency (tātu varttaṉai) and treating disease of oral cavity (kaṉṉa rōkam).
A black paste used as eye liner (añcaṉam) to treating delirium (caṉṉi) and convulsion (vali).
Additionally, the text proposes a method to compile texts (cāsttira tokai) and to form siddha manuscripts.
