The volume contains baptismal records of enslaved and free individuals registered in the church of Nossa Senhora do Bonsucesso de Piratininga, Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro. Entries date from 02 May 1668 to 20 April 1733. There are no opening or closing charters. Members of the Gago family appear frequently, either baptizing a child or serving as godparents. There are records of pastoral visits by Lourenço (?) on 18 Jul 1733 and one on 12 Apr 1726. Folios 160-166F are blank. The entries were signed by Joseph Mendes de Abreu, Manoel Pacheco, and José Moreyra da Sylva(?).
Physical characteristics: Cover missing. Consists of 169 nonsequential folios with some holes. Dimensions: 33 cm x 24.5 cm.
