This collection holds Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Nossa Senhora do Bonsucesso de Piratininga in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It consists of baptismal records of enslaved and free individuals (1688-1733) and burial records of enslaved individuals (1680-1726).
Custodial history: The volumes were produced by the Church of Nossa Senhora do Bonsucesso de Piratininga. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the parish is transferred to the Arquivo da Cúria Metropolitana de Niterói after 70 years.
