The volume documents burials of freed (forro) and free individuals registered at the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Cordeiros, São Gonçalo-RJ. The entries date from 17 Jan 1857 through 10 Oct 1874. Opening and closing charters are not included. The volume includes individuals abandoned (exposto) in the Santa Casa de Misericordia; some registers also note the cause of death. A number of blank pages follow folio 125. African ethnonyms and "nations" mentioned: Benguela, Moçambique (Mozambique). The following clergy signed the entries: Vicar Francisco de Moraes Silva Bueno, Commissioned Vicar Galdino Xavier (X.e) da Silva (S.a) Malafaia.
