This volume contains burial records of enslaved, freed (forro), and free people registered in the Church of Santo Antônio de Sá, Itaboraí-RJ. Entries date from 23 Oct 1723 to 19 Mar 1742. The opening charter was signed by Vicar Joam Gomes da (?) on 20 Sep 1723; there is no closing charter. The volume documents a pastoral visit that took place on 28 Aug 1733. Entries were signed by the following clergy: Vicar Joam Gomes da (?); Vicar Miguel Antonio (?); Commissioned Vicar Joseph (?) Barboza; and Coadjutor João Gonçalves de Lima. There are some testaments in the volume, as well as records of burials that took place in the mother church of João Batista de Itaboraí. Pages were bound out of chronological order.
Physical characteristics: The volume has 117 non-sequential folios. It does not have a cover; the folios have been severely damaged by ink and insects. Dimensions: 32.5cm x 23.5cm.
