The volume contains cases brought before the Manager of the Second Eastern and 'Quiah' Districts at the Police Court at Waterloo between 28 February 1889 and 6 October 1890. The document includes an index that lists the cases by the name of the defendant and the page number in the volume. For each case, information is provided on the date, the name of the manager, the plaintiff and the defendant. Information is also provided about the offence, whether the prisoner pleaded guilty, and the sentence given. It sometimes includes information on the oath taken by the constable, the plaintiff, the defendant, or of witnesses. The cover is damaged, and there is extensive damage from iron gall throughout the volume. There are some traces of water damage.
