Didactic poem (أرجوزة) on tested prescriptions (مجربات) by Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAbd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037).
Begins (f. 89r, lines 7-9):
بدأت بسم الله في نظم حسن أذكر ما جربته طول الزمن
ما هو بالطبع وبالخواص لكل عام ولكل خاص
في شولة العقرب نجم تؤام برأي عين من يراه يعلم
Ends (f. 92v, lines 13-17):
فإنه يشفي من السموم من لسعة تدعو إلى الهموم
من حية أو عقرب ذعوري وهكذا من لسعة الزنبور
هذا الذي جربته في عمري نظمته للمقتفين أثري
