Twelve didactic poems on various sciences

Collection of twelve didactic poems in the rajaz metre (أراجيز) on jurisprudence (فقه), the calculation of inheritance shares (فرائض), and medicine (طب), grammar (نحو), and other sciences.
A descriptive volume title has been written in black ink along the head edge of the folios: 'Poems on sciences' (منظومات العلوم).
F. 1r contains a note giving instructions for five words to be written on the finger nails of the left hand in order to receive a dream in which the good or bad circumstances of a given matter will be revealed.
F. 1v contains a list of the letters of the Arabic alphabet in abjad order with the numerical values of each following the Eastern alphanumeric system (حِسَاب الجُمَّل).
F. 2r contains a list of the twelve signs of the zodiac, noting the elemental quality of each sign and the planetary ruler of each decan (وجه), i.e., ten-degree subdivision of the thirty degrees of each sign.
F. 3r contains two medical prescriptions: 'a prescription for a paste that excites and strengthens the libido' (صفة معجون مفرح مقوي للباه, upper) and 'a prescription for pills ... proven to clear phlegm' (صفة حب ... مجرب لتنقية البلغم, lower).
F. 4v contains a table of contents of the twelve texts in the volume and the numbers of the folios in which they begin according to the manuscript's historical Eastern Arabic foliation. The same table of contents, without the folio numbers, is found on f. 5v, which has been pasted to f. 6r, and the details of the table of contents have been noted in the edge margin of f. 6r.

Condition: folios 5 and 6 have been pasted together; lower edge corner of top board broken and repaired; minor foxing throughout
Marginalia: Very few apart from rubricated sideheads
