Didactic poem (أرجوزة) on grammar (علم النحو) by Jalāl al-Dīn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Bakr al-Suyūṭī (جلال الدين عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر السيوطي, d. 1505).
Al-Suyūṭī completed the poem in Dhū al-Ḥijjah 885/February-March 1481 (see f. 253v, lines 1-2, transcribed below).
Contents:
- Introductory discourse (الكلام في المقدمات, ff. 220v-225v);
- Book one: The pillars, namely nominatives, accusatives and [particles that] annul [the quality of the subject] (الكتاب الأول في العمد وهي المرفوعات والمنصوبات والنواسخ, ff. 225v-230r);
- Book two: The redundancies - the direct object (الكتاب الثاني في الفضلات المفعول به, ff. 230r-236v);
- Book three: Genitives and what they agree with, namely the apocopates (الكتاب الثالث في المجرورات وما حمل عليها وهي المجزومات, ff. 236v-240r);
- Book four: Regents (كتاب الرابع في العوامل, ff. 240r-243r);
- Book five: Appositives (الكتاب الخامس في التوابع, ff. 243r-245r);
- Book six: Structures (الكتاب السادس في الأبينة, ff. 245r-252v);
- Conclusion: Handwriting (خاتمة في الخط, ff. 252v-253v).

أقول بعد الحمد والسلام على النبي أفصح الأنام
النحو خير ما به المرء عُني إذ ليس علم عنه حقًا يغتني
وهذه الفية فيه صوت أصوله ونفع طلاب نوت
Ends (f. 253v, lines 1-6):
نظمتها نظمًا بديع البهجة سهلًا ووافي الختم في ذي الحجة
من عام خمس وثمانين التي بعد ثمان مائة للهجرة
فأحمد الله على إتمامها شكرًا لما يسر من ختامها
