This volume contains two leaves that were originally part of Add MS 48027, where they followed f. 569 and f. 650, but without modern foliation. The leaves are now mounted separately in this volume and are referred to by the folio numbers they would have been given in the modern foliation of Add MS 48027.

[569a]verso: A memorandum on the announcement of the sentence against Mary, Queen of Scots, in London on 6 December 1586: 'On Tuesday the 6th of December 1586, the L[ord] maior assisted with divers Erles, all the Aldermen in their Scarlet gownes, the greatest number of gentlemen of best accompt remaining in and about the Citie with the number of three or fower skore of the most gravest and worshipfullest Citizens in Coates of velvet and Cheynes of gold all on horseback in the most solemne maner that could be devysed by the sound of fower Trumpettes about .x. of the Clocke in the forenoone made open and publyk declaracion and proclamacion of the sentence latelie geven against the Queen of Scottes under the greate Seale of England bearinge date at Richmond the daye of December etcaetera - At the crosse in Cheape / At thende of Chauncerye Lane over against the Temple in ffleete str[ete] / At Leaden hall Corner / At St Magnus neare London Bridge'; perhaps excerpted from Holinshed’s Chronicles.
