- Unlike suggested by the title, this volume contains notes on various topics which rage from toponomy to chemistry to history to biology. This exercise book was used by a student at the Openbare Normaal School of the Inlandse Hulpond in Surakarta whose class schedule is mentioned on page 87. It contains numerous illustrations and hand-drawn maps of Java, Borneo and Sulawesi showing the provincial borders. It was likely written by a Javanese student at the Training School for Native Civil Servants (Opleiding School Voor Inlandsche Ambtenaren, OSVIA) in Magelang.
