The book registers the admission of 498 women to the Lima Asylum between 1859 and 1908. It includes personal information such as: nationality, age, marital status, profession, religion, education and race; also the date of admission to the asylum; in some cases the date of discharge; the patient's status as a pensioner or free patient; the institution that referred the patient and the names of the doctors who issued the medical certificate for admission. Also recorded are the medical history, in some cases the treatment given, the date of death and the cause of death. This book presents photographs of some of the patients who were in the hospice. The registers show the medical diagnoses of each patient, such as: vesanic dementia, systematised madness, senile dementia, organic dementia, chronic mania, systematised madness, idiotism, melancholia, neurotic madness (hysteria), syphilitic madness, chronic delirium, madness of the degenerate, toxic madness (alcoholism), hereditary madness, epilepsy, manic-depressive madness, perspective paranoia, lipemania, religious paranoia, acute delirium, infectious madness, Among the institutions that referred patients are registered: the Police, the Maison de Sante clinic, the refuges, the Callao Hospital, the Departmental Boards, the Santa Ana Hospital, the Trinidad Convent, the Manrique Hospital, the Lima Prefecture, the San Bartolomé Hospital, the Prado Convent and the San Pedro Convent. It includes an index of names at the beginning of the book. The book is also related to the Libro de Estadística del Movimiento General del Manicomio.
El libro registra el ingreso de 498 mujeres al Manicomio de Lima entre los años de 1859 a 1908. Incluye información personal como: nacionalidad, edad, estado civil, profesión, religión, instrucción y la raza; además la fecha de ingreso al hospicio; en algunos casos la fecha de salida de alta del paciente; su condición de pensionista o de paciente gratuito; la institución que remite al paciente y los nombres de los doctores que emitían el certificado médico para su ingreso. También se haya registrado los antecedentes médicos, en algunos casos el tratamiento realizado, la fecha de defunción y la causa de la muerte. Este libro presenta fotografías de algunas de las pacientes que estuvieron en el hospicio. En los registros se observa los diagnósticos médicos de cada paciente como: demencia vesánica, locura sistematizada, demencia senil, demencia orgánica, manía crónica, locura sistematizada, idiotismo, melancolía, locura neurótica (Histeria), locura sifilítica, delirio crónico, locura de los degenerados, locura tóxica (Alcoholismo), locura hereditaria, epilepsia, locura maniacodepresiva, paranoia perspectiva, lipemanía, paranoia religiosa, delirio agudo, locura infecciosa, Entre las instituciones que remitían a los pacientes se encuentran registradas: la Policía, la clínica Maison de Sante, los refugios, el Hospital del Callao, las Juntas Departamentales, el Hospital de Santa Ana, el Convento Trinidad, el Hospital Manrique, la Prefectura de Lima, el Hospital de San Bartolomé, el Convento del Prado y el Convento de San Pedro. Incluye índice onomástico al inicio del libro. Además, el libro tiene relación con el Libro de Estadística del Movimiento General del Manicomio.
