The series is made up of two books that correspond to the register of women admitted to the Lima Asylum between 1859 and 1919. The first book covers the period from 1859 to 1908 while the second book corresponds to the years 1915 to 1919. Both books contain the personal data of patients such as names, age, race, marital status, social status, education and religion; in addition, it can be seen that the medical history, causes, diagnosis of the illness and date of death of women patients at the Lima Asylum were noted.
La serie está compuesta por dos libros que corresponden al registro de admisión de mujeres al Manicomio de Lima entre los años1859 a 1919. El primer libro cubre el periodo de 1859 a 1908 mientras que el segundo libro corresponde a los años de 1915 a 1919. Ambos libros contienen los datos personales de pacientes como nombres, edad, raza, estado civil, condición social, intrucción y religión; además, se puede observar que se anotaban los antecedentes médicos, causas, diagnóstico de la enfermedad y la fecha de defunción de las pacientes del Manicomio de Lima.

Custodial history: The digital images in this collection were created as part of the EAP1402 "Digitisation of 19th century documents from the Manicomio del Cercado, Lima, Peru". The original material from the now hosted by the Víctor Larco Herrera Hospital’s Museum.
Arrangement: The book are arranged chronologically by the year they were created.
