The book registers the admission of 443 men to the Lima Insane Asylum between 1915 and 1920. It includes personal information such as: nationality, age, marital status, profession, religion, education and race; the date of admission to the hospice; in some cases the date of discharge; the patient's status as a pensioner or free patient; the institution that referred the patient and the names of the doctors who issued the medical certificate for his admission. The date of death and cause of death are also recorded. The medical diagnoses of each patient are noted in the records, such as: Taboparalysis, epilepsy, vesanic dementia, systematised delirium, persecutory paranoia, progressive general paralysis, toxic madness, manic insanity, dementia praecox, Idiocy, alcoholism, madness of the degenerates, cocaimic psychosis, Senile dementia, Acute mania, Acute mania, Idiotism, Epileptic insanity, Manic-depressive psychosis, Opium psychosis, Autointoxication psychosis, Delirium Tremens, Epileptic psychosis, Kepelli's psychopathic personality. Among the institutions that referred patients are registered: the Panopticon, the Police, the Departmental Boards, the Shelters, the Dos de Mayo Hospital, the Ministry of Justice, the Court of Justice, the respective consulates for foreign patients, the Directorate of the Charity of Lima, the Convent of Santo Domingo and the Convent of San Agustín. In other cases, many of the patients were referred by their own families.
El libro registra el ingreso de 443 hombres al Manicomio de Lima entre los años de 1915 a 1920. Incluye información personal como: nacionalidad, edad, estado civil, profesión, religión, instrucción y la raza; además la fecha de ingreso al hospicio; en algunos casos la fecha de salida de alta del paciente; su condición de pensionista o de paciente gratuito; la institución que remite al paciente y los nombres de los doctores que emitían el certificado médico para su ingreso. También se registra la fecha de defunción y la causa de la muerte. En los registros se observa los diagnósticos médicos de cada paciente como: Taboparálisis, epilepsia, demencia vesánica, delirio sistematizado, Paranoia persecutiva, Parálisis general progresiva, locura tóxica, Locura maniaca, demencia precoz, Idiocia, Alcoholismo, Locura de los degenerados, Psicosis cocaimica, demencia senil, manía aguda, Manía Aguda, Idiotismo, Locura epiléptica, Psicosis Maniacodepresiva, Psicosis por opio, Psicosis por autointoxicación, Delirium Tremens, Psicosis epiléptica, Personalidad psicopática de Kepelli. Entre las instituciones que remitían a los pacientes se encuentran registradas: el Panóptico, la Policía, las Juntas Departamentales, los Refugios, el Hospital Dos de Mayo, el Ministerio de Justicia, la Corte de Justicia, los respectivos consulados para los pacientes extranjeros, la Dirección de la Beneficencia de Lima, el Convento de Santo Domingo y el Convento de San Agustín. En otros casos, se observa que muchos de los pacientes eran remitidos por sus propias familias.
