A treatise in 16 chapters (فصل) on the future of the human soul, by Abū ‘Alī al-Ḥusayn ibn ‘Abd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). The text is ascribed in the present volume the alternative title [Risālah] fī al-nafs al-nāṭiqah (رسالة في النفس الناطقة, ff. 2r and 9r).
Sections of the work were incorporated into the author’s Salvation (كتاب النجاة), as mentioned in a marginal note (f. 9r), as well as into the Cure (كتاب الشفاء).
A diagram is found on f. 19v and a collation note on f. 42r.
