Treatise affirming the existence of the Creator, in three chapters (فصول), without introduction, attributed to Abū ‘Alī al-Ḥusayn ibn ‘Abd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). The transcription of the present text together with those preceding it in the volume was completed on a Sunday in Shaʻbān 1019/October-November 1610 in the city of Iṣfahān (see colophon, below, f. 193v, lines 19-21 and margin), by an un-named scribe.
The text is ascribed the title Risālah fī ithbāt al-Ṣāniʻ (رسالة في إثبات الصانع) in the present volume (ff. 2r and 191r), however this properly refers only to the title of the first chapter (f. 191r, lines 2-3).
