Metaphysical notes on the nature of God as the creator of the universe and of finite things, by Abū ‘Alī al-Ḥusayn ibn ‘Abd Allāh (أبو علي الحسين بن عبد الله), known as Ibn Sīnā (ابن سينا, latinised as Avicenna, d. 1037). The work is sometimes transmitted as part of a group of texts extant in various recensions and under various titles, including Īḍāḥ barāhīn mustanbaṭah fī masāʼil ʻawīṣah (إيضاح براهين مستنبطة في مسائل عويصة).
